An inmate can have up to five visitors each visitation day. Male visitation is Saturday and Sunday from 1:00 p.m to 3:00 p.m. Female visitation is Wednesday from 9:00 a.m until 11:00 a.m and 1:00 p.m until 3:00 p.m. All visitors must sign the visitation register 30 minutes before visitation begins.

Inmate telephones are located in each housing unit and are made available daily from 8:00 a.m to 9:00 p.m, excluding meal times and lockdown status. All calls are outgoing and collect. There will be a toll charge billed to the party accepting the call. All calls are subject to monitoring and/or recording. Inmates should be respectful of others by keeping calls to fifteen minutes. Staff members will not transfer calls and will not take messages. Be advised that three-way calling is prohibited.

Upon committal to Marengo County Detention Center, inmates will surrender any and all forms of money in their possesion. While incarcerated, inmates can use this money to purchase items from the commissary, or release it to an outside source. After release from jail, inmates may return in seven to thirteen days to obtain the balanced owed to them. The days and times available for funds pick-up are designated by the commissary officer and are subject to change at any time.
